December 31 What a month! Probably the best and the worstDecember is one of the best and worst month I've ever come across for this year. Starting with good news, after lowlife Oxford rejected me, I have got some great news from university college London that I've been invited to open day. That was such a relief! After that, it's just fun and fun with new British (a bit crazy) friends. In the middle of the month, I was glad for my team to get a second prize for quiz night in CTC. I was so happy that chocolate in front of me just kept disappearing (in my mouth). 2 or 3 days later, I have got birthday present from my Latvian friend. How sweet that is! I've never hoped that people will remember my birthday with the exception of my dearest friends, of course. I was looking forward to see the biggest event of my life, going to Scotland again. This, however, was mixed with worst events of this year. I went to Glasgow with my friend for 4 days without seeing much of it. That was because of fog and mist that kept covering the buildings and distort the beautiful scenery. The hostel there was one of the worst I've ever seen. At my first day, I could not sleep at all because there was one taiwanese snoring all the way through the bumpy night. According to my friend, he heard the foreigner, usually resistant to noises when sleeping, saying "oh dear". In desperation, he clapped his hand to shut the noisy snoring down although I was annoyed and wished both to go to hell and let me have some good sleep. In the following day, my friend insisted to change a room to the twin room which has only two beds and also two people can be there. Changing room, I had to pay thirtyish more which I was mad at the time. That was because I hadn't got my money left much for another 3 month (Jan - Mar). However, it was great fun to explore Glasgow in detail. It was a great experience to get lost in the way and ask people. That's a bit of fun. We kept turning up at the wrong bus stop since this whole town have one-way road. However, the worst was to come when we went to Edinburgh. To comment, it was such a beautiful town, the capital of Scotland, that it should have deserved more reputation. We went to hostel which was far better similar to hotel. We went to Edinburgh castle which was far more beautiful than my expectation. I was glad that I came here again for the 2nd time. The worst day, ironically, was my birthday, christmas day. We were bored since all shops in town closed. It was a boring day since no shops opened. I came up with an idea to have photograph on Carlton hill which was beautifully surrounded with exotic scenery. I was so excited to have photographs there. However, when I was going to take another photo which I thought it was going to be the really good picture, my camera disappeared from my sight! I was really shocked at what happened. my moments in Edinburgh and Glasgow were all gone with that camera and I was down a bit. However, I came shopping in boxing day and was happy again.
